Tonight’s dinner was a beautiful raw juice. The recipe was one of Joe Cross’ (the director of fat, sick and nearly dead, a must see film) recipes taken from the website www.jointhereboot.com. It was delicious and my kids even loved it! A great way to get greens into them as you really can’t taste them even though the drink is green!
Here is the recipe for one serve;
4 stalks of celery
1 tbsp fresh ginger
1/2 a lemon
6-8 kale leaves(or any greens you have on hand)
Put all ingredient through the juicer and ENJOY!
While I was at the Vipassana for 10 days the meals there were set up so we had a nice big breakfast at 6:30am, good size lunch at 11am and then only two pieces of fruit at 5pm. There was no snacking in between either. I found that my body really did well on this regime and have decided to give this ago as our regular routine. So this fruit platter (plus a bowl of fresh popped corn with himalayan salt) was our families dinner last night. The kids absolutely loved it! I’ll tell you it makes life so much simpler too!!!!!!! hehe
